Even if you’re not really an outdoorsy person, Ecuador is full of relaxing resorts, exciting nightlife, hospitable people and beautiful big cities. Whatever you like to experience when you travel, Ecuador should be on your travel bucket list.
The next thing you should know is that Ecuador is divided in four regions:
- The Coast
- The Highlands
- The Amazon
- The Galapagos Islands
Each region has different things to offer you, the food, the weather, even the people are different in each region. Every region has its own unique charm and their own local culture and traditions. Another thing that’s great about Ecuador is that it’s a very small country. Most people would think that’s a negative quality, but when you’re travelling by land, it’s quite great. Since it takes you about seventeen hours to drive across the country, Ecuador is the ultimate road trip spot, with amazing things to see every few hours. Just on road trips, you could choose between seeing a few dozen cool beaches in the coast, amazing mountain and volcano views in the highlands or a trip filled with adventure in the Amazon.
